MLB Postseason Awards, Part 3

And now the more "prestigious" awards:

American League
MVP - Josh Hamilton - after one of the most impressive starts ever, he's fallen off his production, but could still be good enough to win the award; other candidates include Francisco Rodrigeuz, Carlos Quentin, Dustin Pedroia, and Justin Morneau
Cy Young - Cliff Lee - at the beginning of the year, he was the least likely Indians ace to win this award considering last year's demotion to AAA, but he's been incredible this year and will only be challenged by K-Rod, who shouldn't win because relievers have their own award
Rookie of the Year - Evan Longoria - still competition from Alexei Ramirez, but everyone digs the long-ball, so it puts the baby Ray over the top
Rolaids Relief Man of the Year - Francisco "K-Rod" Rodriguez - broke the record for saves in a season...do you need more?
Manager of the Year - Joe Maddon - turned the bottom-feeding Rays into AL East contenders and then playoff-bound juggernauts, and that makes him the obvious winner

National League
MVP - Albert Pujols - my typical answer, but considering that he had another Pujols-like season, there is good reason for that; Ryan Howard, Ryan Braun, and Carlos Delgado are all in the mix
Cy Young - Brandon Webb - could be Santana, but Webb has the most wins and has been dominant this year
Rookie of the Year - Geovany Soto - I don't think there's really any argument here
Rolaids Relief Man of the Year - Brad Lidge - also a candidate for comeback player of the year, he's blossomed in his role with the Phillies this year and returned to his old form closing out games reliably
Manager of the Year - Tony LaRussa - again, typical answer, but think about it: most of the good starters were on the DL most of the year, their closer was switched a rookie midseason, they got an incredible amount of production from a rightfielder who has never been very good, and yet they were in the playoff race for most of the season; Piniella did an outstanding job and has guided the Cubs to a division crown, but the Cards had significantly less to use this year talent-wise
